In Uganda’s far north-east, Kidepo Valley is a wide savannah ringed by mountains — often described as one of Africa’s most beautiful parks. Its remoteness means you may have the plains almost to yourself.
Kidepo is home to animals found nowhere else in Uganda, such as cheetah and ostrich, alongside lions, large buffalo herds and elephants. Visits can include time with the Karamojong and Ik communities. The park is reached by scheduled flight or a long overland drive.
